A-12 Thunderbolt III "Grasshopper"

VTOL close air support aircraft.
Its nickname comes from its "high legged" silhouette in landing mode.
Its rustic configuration allows it to take off from sketchy bases and require very little maintenance.

Manufactured in 2030 after the epidemic which devastated the planet and sparked civil wars, particularly in the USA which split into 3 country states.

Mexifornia, which includes Mexico and California, the central United States and the United States of Canada, a country that encompassed the northern territories of the USA after their request for help in the face of social pressure in the 2035s.

The "grasshopper" was used in air support for northern troops during  the attack known as "May counterattack" in the desert of Mojave which allows the northern territories to recover a number of aircraft parts to support their air force.

There are currently 2 squadrons of this type of aircraft, all located on the border of the United States of Canada. Despite the disband of USA the squadrons stay with the old flag and patch.
